Why I Created Nourish Yourself…

When I first set out to eat better and lose weight, I felt crazy overwhelmed.

I remember spending H-O-U-R-S looking through thick, heavy cookbooks, searching for recipes that I thought were healthy (but not too intimidating or difficult to make) and then sitting for another hour plotting my meals for the week onto my big magnetic meal planner.

After that, I’d go recipe-by-recipe scribbling every ingredient on to my grocery list – triple and quadruple checking to make sure I had everything. When I finally finished, my brain felt fried.

Meal Planning was a new concept for me back then and I struggled A LOT to figure it all out. I knew that planning my meals was an important task – and a necessary one if I wanted to eat better and lose weight – but it was also time-consuming, overwhelming and sometimes frustrating.

There were days I felt like quitting…but I kept at it – refining my strategy, creating shortcuts, establishing my favorite go-to meals, until I finally cracked the code on how to simplify (and enjoy) the meal-planning process.

…is the number one request that I receive from clients, friends, subscribers, readers and viewers of my cable TV show, Nourished.
