A few days ago, I was talking with my good friend about how important it is to reduce inflammation in the body.
Inflammation is the culprit behind most diseases and illnesses – from joint pain to bloating, cancer to Alzheimer’s disease.
Sick of dealing with her arthritis pain, she immediately asked, “Ok, so how do I get rid of inflammation?”
My answer: TURMERIC!
Turmeric is packed with a medicinal compound called curcumin – which is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse.
It’s also antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral and acts as an anti-depressant and pain reliever! Basically, anti-everything bad.
Her next question…“How do I get more turmeric in my diet ASAP?”
My answer: Golden Green Tea
Golden Green Tea is what I call one of my health hacks – a quick and easy hack (or way) to improve your health in minutes.
How To Make Golden Green Tea:
1// Prepare a mug of plain, unsweetened green tea as you normally would – or according to package instructions. I use these tea bags (and this is OPTIONAL, but sometimes I’ll stir in a little extra matcha – which is ground green tea leaves).
2// Add in ½ teaspoon of ground turmeric, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, few grinds of black pepper (this helps increase the absorption of the curcumin in the turmeric by 2000% percent!) and a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice.
*Feel free to add other spices too. Ground ginger, nutmeg and cardamom also make delicious add-ins.
3// Stir and enjoy.
So simple, right? It literally takes less than two minutes to make.
