Sparkling Cranberry Smash {Mocktail}


  • 1 cup frozen cranberries
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1-teaspoon maple syrup
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ cup ice
  • Club Soda or Sparkling water*
  • Extra mint leaves or rosemary sprigs and cranberries, for garnish

* To spike it: swap club soda/sparkling water for champagne {optional}


  1. Microwave frozen cranberries for 45 seconds, until they are soft to the touch.
  2. In the bottom of a glass or cocktail shaker, muddle cranberries, lime juice, ginger, maple syrup, mint and water.
  3. Add ice and shake until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer, double strain if needed, into a chilled glass (or a glass filled with ice).
  5. Fill the remainder of the glass with club soda or sparkling water.
  6. Garnish with fresh cranberries, mint leaves and/or rosemary sprigs.
  7. Enjoy as is or add a dash of Angostura bitters.
